摘要
A general expression is obtained for the electrophoretic mobility of a cylindrical hard colloidal particle oriented perpendicularly to an applied electric field. On the basis of this general mobility expression, a simple accurate analytic mobility formula suitable for numerical calculation is derived which is applicable for low zeta potentials and for all Kappa a (Kappa is the Debye-Huckel, parameter and a is the particle radius) with relative errors less than 1%.
