Pt(II) compounds interplay with Cu(II) and Zn(II) coordination to the amyloid-β peptide has metal specific consequences on deleterious processes associated to Alzheimer's disease

摘要
Five Pt(II) complexes were tested for their ability to interfere in Cu(II) or Zn(II) coordination to the A beta peptide. Two of them induce modifications of the Cu(II) sphere but not the associated Cu(A beta) ROS production. In contrast, they do completely preclude Zn induced A beta aggregation.
