Phase transformation during sintering of Li2TiO3 nanocrystallites synthesised by hydrothermal method

摘要
Lithium meta titanate (Li2TiO3) is a major compound in the Li-Ti-O ternary system. In this work, the monoclinic-cubic transformation is studied during the sintering process of Li2TiO3 nanocrystallites by means of dilatometry analysis, for the first time. The minimum temperature for transformation of stoichiometric Li2TiO3 has been so far reported to be about 1150 degrees C, while this study found that the transformation temperature of Li2TiO3 nanocrystallites synthesised by hydrothermal method was determined in this work to be about 900 degrees C or even less.
