Interfacial research on interpenetrating network structure ZrO2/Al-Mg composites prepared by Extrusion Freeform Fabrication 3DP and pressureless infiltration

摘要
The ZrO2/Al-Mg composite with interpenetrating network structure was successfully prepared by Extrusion Freeform Fabrication 3DP process (EFF-3DP) combined with pressureless infiltration process. The results show that an obvious interfacial reaction occurs between the Al-Mg and the ZrO2 filament during the infiltration process. The interfacial layer is about 130 mu m thick after infiltrating for 3 h at 910 degrees C. The new phases such as Al3Zr, Zr0.875Mg0.125O1.875 and Al0.1Zr0.9O1.95 have been found in the composite's interfacial layer. The formation and evolution process of interfacial layer with gradient multilayer structure is discussed. (C) 2020 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
