摘要
5G deployment already begun in several countries around the world, being deployed as a combination of New Radio and LTE core. The 5G Stand Alone core implementation will be most probably deployed by the Telecom operators beginning with 2022. But for the current deployments the Telecom operators are testing different types of devices in different scenarios, in order to see what will be the user's 5G experience. The first scenario that will be deployed at large will be the enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB) inside households and businesses, where 5G routers will offer connectivity to all potential users. These devices will be connected to the operator's network using 5G and the users will connect to the router using WiFi technology. In the current paper we test an off-the-shelf 5G router in a topically city household scenario using the current implementation of the 5G network as deployed by Orange Romania. In this paper we propose a testbed and we present the results of the performed test.
