摘要
The advances in processing and development of a number of intermetallic-based systems are reviewed. The majority of the recent literature concerns the development of NiAl-based composites even though research on this compound is decreasing. This trend reflects the attitude that composite structures are needed for improved performance of intermetallic-based materials. With respect to advances made in NiAl-based composites, other intermetallic-based systems are also discussed. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
