摘要
Total hip arthroplasty for Crowe IV of congenital hip dysplasia is a thorny problem for it is difficult to master the length of osteotomy. We investigated the clinical outcome and surgical methods of the total hip arthroplasty for 20 cases of Crowe IV type of congenital hip dysplasia at our institution. All the patients were underwent total hip arthroplasty with subtrochanteric transverse osteotomy in femoral side. All the patients were evaluated by X-ray and Harris Hip Score preoperatively and during follow-up. The results showed all acetabular prosthesis were in true acetabulum. No complications were found in all patients. Harris score at final follow up improved (P < 0 .05). We believe total hip arthroplasty with Sivash-Range of Motion (S-ROM) prosthesis and subtrochanteric osteotomy is an effective method for the treatment of Crowe IV congenital dysplasia of the hip in adults.
