The characteristics of Ni-Zn ferrite powder prepared by the hydrothermal process

摘要
The effect of processing parameters such as pH, reaction temperature and time on the formation and magnetic properties of the Ni-Zn ferrite powder synthesized by the hydrothermal method is reported. The starting materials used were FeSO4, NiSO4 and ZnSO4. The Fe, Ni and Zn salt as reactants were mixed, the pH of the solution was controlled by sodium hydroxide and the reaction was carried out in autoclave at elevated temperatures from 180 to 250 °C. The powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction for crystal structure, SEM for morphology of the powder and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) for analysis of magnetic properties.
