摘要
A CFD numerical study of wind effects on gable-roofed low-rise buildings is presented in this paper. Modified RANS based SST model with proper boundary conditions is adopted to improve numerical results. Eight different roof angles (5 degrees to 45 degrees) are selected in order to study the angle's influences to both flow field and wind pressure on buildings. Detailed comparisons of pressure coefficients distribution are made between numerical results and wind tunnel test results, and flow pattern around buildings under different roof angles is also compared to disclosure how flow field influents the wind loading on structures. Compared with wind tunnel test, satisfied numerical wind loading distribution on bluff body buildings was obtained. Flow pattern around low-rise building were also successfully simulated. Wind pressure on buildings is significantly influenced by the flow pattern around it, which is proved by comparing the flow pattern under each roof angle.
