摘要
Text editing, word processing seems to be the stepchild of ICT: Everyone claims that they know it, they do it but no one cares about it. The article gives a list of misconceptions circulating in connection with word processing, and along with these false presumptions offers an algorithmic based solution to the problems. One of the most demanding among the listed misconceptions is the lack of agreement on the notion of the properly formatted text, why the other, not less demanding, is the lack of the algorithmic concept, and consequently, the lack of connection to other computer-related subjects. The article finally argues why the meta-cognitional educational model should be applied in teaching word processing to reach satisfactory result in the creation of e-documents.
