摘要
This article provides a comprehensive examination of eight factors to analyze the potential and contributing causes of urinary incontinence (UI) in long-term care facilities. These factors can guide quality improvement committees to reduce the prevalence of UI. The eight factors-evidence-based practice, assessment, environment, education, staffing, communication, involvement, and evaluation/feedback-were identified through an analysis of 70 quality improvement plans developed by Minnesota nursing facilities and substantiated by the research literature.
