Synthesis and Characterization of (1-x)BaTiO3-xBaF2-xLiF Ceramics

摘要
Oxyfluoride phases have been synthesized in free atmosphere at 950 degrees C during 4 hours, using the BaTiO3 perovskite and the fluorides BaF2 and LiF. The XRD study at room temperature on powder, for various compositions has shown the formation of a new solid solution (1-x)BaTiO3-xBaF(2)-xLiF in the range 0 < x <= 0.15. Furthermore the XRD analysis indicates the transition of crystalline type from tetragonal to cubic symmetry from the composition x = 0.035. This result can be attributed to the decrease of the covalency bonds in the BX6. An electric measurement have showed a PTCR behavior for two compositions, 0.90BaTiO(3)-0.10BaF(2)-0.10LiF and 0.85BaTiO(3)-0.15BaF(2)-0.15LiF.
