摘要
Recently, old drugs such as the anti-diabetic agent metformin and aspirin have been found to display anti-tumoral properties. Indeed, there are more and more evidence showing that these drugs affect cancer cell proliferation and decrease tumor growth in various animal models. In this review, we summarize fundamental, pre-clinical, and clinical studies which describe metformin and aspirin action in cancer.
