A rare case of intradural disc herniation in the midthoracic region (Th IX/X) accompanied by the benign intradural tumor (Th VI) is presented. The level and nature of the root and cord compression were identified, by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with a latency of two years. Surgical therapy consisted of laminectomy and extra- and intradural removal of the lesions. The immediate postoperative MRI revealed complete removal of the lesions. Compared with literature cases this is the only case of intradural disc herniation combined with a spinal tumor. The possible causes of the condition are discussed.
