Support Vector Machine classifier for Research Discipline Area Selection

Research discipline area selection plays vital role for researchers to classify particular document based on their research domain. To select research discipline area current methods perform manual matching of similar research domain. This paper presents text-mining approach to classify research papers automatically according to their similarities in research areas or keywords. We then show the effectiveness of this classifier by evaluating performance in terms of standard precision, recall and f-measure for a collection of test documents. This work implements support vector machine training algorithm to classify research papers because it is fast classification, fast learning and more accurate technique.
