Caesarean section after fulminant pulmonary embolism and subsequent lysis therapy -: A case report

摘要：
After a pregnancy without problems, a 35-year-old woman suffered from an intrapartum fulminant pulmonary embolism with subsequent emergency caesarean delivery. As blood circulation parameters remained unstable, a systemic rt-PA lysis therapy without any previous diagnostic imaging was carried out. After multiple blood transfusions and a hysterectomy, the patient as well as the baby could be discharged without sequelae after 24 days in hospital. In the present case, pulmonary embolism was supposedly due to the pregnancy and an antecedent mild leg distortion.
