Power consumption in unbaffled and baffled agitated vessels with propeller and pfaudler type impellers is measured over a wide range of Reynolds numbers from laminar to turbulent flow regions. The power correlation for the propeller and pfaudler type impellers is derived from modification of the previously proposed power cot-relation for a paddle impeller. The calculated correlation values agree well with experimental ones, and the same correlation can be applied to both propeller and pfaudler type impellers.
