Periodic electron circulation induced by circularly polarized laser pulses: Quantum model simulations for Mg porphyrin

摘要
What goes round comes round! Quantum dynamical simulations predict that ultra-short circularly polarized laser pulses can selectively induce the circulation of electrons in a ring-shaped molecule - with near equal laser and electron periods below one femtosecond (see figure).
