摘要
Rapid ring closure transforms the tetraazide 1, which was thought to have been characterized at room temperature in 1961 and 2009, into the tetrazole 2. Consequently, the previously synthesized compounds actually are identical with heterocycle 2, which was also prepared by a third method in 2011. After its generation at low temperature, the open-chain compound 1 and its cyclization reaction have now been analyzed for the first time. © 2013 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim.
