摘要
Superconducting cables could prove their technical feasibility in first prototype applications and are available for a more widespread use in electrical networks. As this new technology still lacks experience, network planners are eager to come to know technical and economic applications. In view of an increasing cost pressure, it will be crucial for superconducting cables to prove their profitability over conventional cables apart from their technical feasibility. In this paper, an industrial distribution network will be planned with superconducting cables and compared to the solution with conventional cables. The results show that the use of superconducting cables is possible from the technical and economic point of view. The use of a 25 kV level with superconducting cables instead of a 110 kV level with conventional cables is promising from an economic point of view.
