摘要
This work presents a device waveform characterization for electromagnetic side-channel attacks on AES encryption, linking current research to side-channel attack methodologies and mathematical software driven analysis by detailing the electromagnetic emanations of an ATMEGA8 microcontroller while performing AES encryption. Additionally, we present a methodology for analyzing data collected while performing side-channel attacks and also demonstrate some defensive countermeasures against side-channel attacks and their impact on the characterization.
