摘要
In this paper, we analyse the cost and performance of inter-data center elastic optical network using various data center types for the problem of cloud service requests provisioning. The simulations are performed from the perspective of the network operator that wants to establish clients traffic, by using its own optical network and the external cloud data centers. Parameters and pricing models for data centers are provided by Amazon Web Services. The results show that by using proper allocation policies, we are able to lower the cost and increase the efficiency of the network. Moreover, we showed which data centers are most suitable for various cloud services.
