摘要
We have investigated the effects of dopants from Group IIA oil the electrical and thermal properties of amorphous selenium (a-Se). We have found that additions in the parts per million range of Mg, Ca, and Ba call alter significantly both the electronic and the thermal properties of a-Se. Vacuum evaporated films from a-Se doped with a Group IIA element have demonstrated excellent n-like transport (electron ranges being much longer than the hole ranges). Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) studies of the thermal stability of doped glasses and films have shown that these additives encourage crystallization.
