摘要
In the present scenario, the construction industry faces a problem with a lack of sand. Alterations are needed to the sand with foundry sand, residue from metal foundry as a partial replacement as fine aggregates. Another problem in civil engineering construction is the excess use of cement content. Cement production releases much carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere due to this emission results forms air pollution. To avoid air pollution, the content is replaced moderately with fly ash. Foundry sand and fly ash are used to reduce environmental hazards. This paper is focused on the analysis of concrete with moderate replacement of cement with fly ash and sand with foundry sand. However, the mechanical properties were analyzed with different proportions of fine aggregate with foundry sand (0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) and cement replaced with fly ash in different proportions such as 10, 30 and 50%. The obtained results are indicated that the 30% FA replaced mixture has shown better mechanical properties. Moreover, 60% of foundry sand replaced samples attained better mechanical properties.
