Copper modified poly (3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) part I. Galvanostatic experiments

摘要
The electrochemical reduction of copper ions is investigated at poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDT) coated electrodes by means of galvanostatic experiments and cyclic voltammetry. It is established that in parallel with copper crystallisation Cu/PEDT complex formation occurs. The amount of copper species involved in the complex formation is estimated using both electrochemical data and EDX analysis. Cu species are found to occupy less than 2% of the PEDT monomer units.
