In the modern complex business world, innovation has become the basis for creating and sustaining competitiveness. When planning business strategy, it is necessary to have a proper understanding of innovation and the total quality management (TQM) process. In this paper, various types of innovation and its linkage with the TQM process will be looked at with suitable examples.
