摘要
This paper presents mathematical models of the cutting edge and helical groove, and the design of the grinding wheels for use in the NC machining of toroid-shaped cutters with a concave-arc generator. According to computer simulation results of the groove actually obtained, the problems of residual profile errors on the groove surface and the cutting edge curve are presented, and rectification action is proposed. This paper provides a reference for the design and NC machining of this type of cutter. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
