The residual resistivities of the Co2 - xPdxTiSn Heusler-type alloys are relatively large and more typical for semimetals than for metals. The largest residual resistivity is obtained for the Co concentration x = 1.25. This concentration is near to the critical Co-content which separates the magnetic Co2 - xPdxTiSn alloys from the Pd-reach nonmagnetic samples. This behaviour is discussed on the base of the electronic structure, which recently have been calculated and experimentally obtained for these alloys. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science S.A.
