Al2O3-TiO2 composite oxide films on etched aluminum foil by hydrolysis precipitation and anodizing

Titanium-oxide coating was applied on etched aluminum foils by hydrolysis precipitation of Ti-bearing cation in inorganic solution. The Al 2O3-TiO2 composite oxide films were formed by galvanostatic anodizing in ammonium adipate solution. The consumption of H + reacted with Al increased pH in micropores of the etched Al foils during the immersion, which can accelerate the hydrolysis precipitation of Ti-bearing cation. Results show that higher annealing temperature induced higher and sharper diffraction peaks.
