Dynamics of phase separation of a binary mixture in the presence of polymer additives

摘要：
Dynamics of phase separation of a critical binary mixture of lutidine and water (LW) in the presence of polyacrylic acid is studied experimentally. Ar early stages, spinodal decomposition can be observed with a very slow growth. It is found that there is a large difference in the viscosity of the two co-existing phases which gives rise to unusual phase separation morphologies observed in the late stages.
