Fabrication of superhydrophobic surface by Co3O4 nanoparticles

摘要
A facile and novel method was developed to fabricate rough Co3O4 surface with hierarchical micro and nano structures by the combination of simple sol-gel reactions and coating process. In this method, first we prepared Co3O4 nanoparticles via sol-gel method and then coated them on the glass substrate. As-prepared layer was superhydrophilic. After modification with stearic acid, a superhydrophobic surface with water contact angle of 153.45A degrees and sliding angle of 2.5A degrees was obtained.
