Real-time simulation of a hydraulically driven log crane by utilizing commercially available software

摘要
A real-time simulator for a commercial hydraulically driven log crane is created and tested, The used hardware and software are commercially available. The simulation model including description of flexible mechanical system and hydraulic circuit is postulated and implemented in Matlab/Simulink-software. The model is then compiled into real-time C-code by means of Simulink/RealTime Workshop. The simulation hardware is based on a double Pentium PC, dSpace processor- and I/O-board. The compiled simulation model is running on dSpace processor board while the animation program is running of the PC's Intel processor by employing dSpace Real Motion-software. The capability of simulation environment in carrying out the task as well as the model building process and results are closely documented.
