摘要
Water-cooled probes were used to measure local temperatures, solids velocities and solids volume concentrations inside the combustion chamber of boiler no. 3 of the Turow power station in Poland. The temperature measurements showed in agreement with previous measurements by other authors that there is a thermal wall layer in which the temperature is decreasing with increasing approach towards the membrane wall. In the vertical direction considerable temperature profiles were detected with temperatures exceeding 980 degrees C at around 10 m above the distributor level. The measurements of solids velocities and volume concentrations confirm the existence of the well-known flow structure of a fluidized bed which is characterized by a downward flowing dense suspension near the wall and an upflowing lean suspension in the core. Local solids velocities at the wall of around 7 to 8 m/s are in agreement with previous measurements in EDF's Gardanne boiler.
