摘要
Various techniques were investigated to determine optimal strategies to control wing rock of slender delta wings. The pitching and plunging of the free-to-roll slender delta wings was observed to influence the asymmetry in the leading-edge vortex flow. A manipulation technique resulting in leading-edge vortex response similar to the plunging at double the free wing frequency would maintain the ability of the wing to produce vortex lift. It was observed that the response of the leading vortices was different for the pitching wing from that for the plunging wing.
