摘要
Due to changing market constellations and customer expectancies companies nowadays are facing a higher level OF competition than before. The customer's demand for improved quality, reduced delivery times and decreasing costs at the same time has forced especially the small and medium-sized companies to search for new ways in Order to stay competitive in the market. In particular in the department of logistics an enormous optimization potential can be identified. Often the logistics chain is characterized by a lack of transparency and traceability. Within the companies especially the departments of warehousing and production logistics have to be named. In stock keeping one has noticed long search procedures in spite of existent administrative systems due to lack Of Or faulty data, whereas in production frequently there is a lack of up-to-dateness and accuracy concerning the processed data. This can lead to high inefficiency in regard of production planning and monitoring. Furthermore, it is difficult to ensure the extensive storage and comprehensibility of all relevant production parameters and processes in specific industrial sectors, which are required by the buyer and legislation. The Radio Frequency Identification Technology (RFID) is a new and innovative approach to react adequately to the named requirements. This article shows the potentials and possibilities for the use of RFID in combination with a KANBAN-control as well as the usage of a business process simulation.
