摘要
Evaluate the impact of mother's breast cancer on the family. 28 parents (14 mothers and 14 fathers), with children aged between 6 and 12 years, were given a set of questionnaires to assess family functioning, psychological distress and coping strategies. During the first chemotherapy, the parents showed no pathological signs of psychological distress and preferentially use coping strategies focused on the problem. Following the diagnosis of cancer, the roles, affective responsiveness and communication are moving within the family. Parents describe a typical family functioning overall, with some characteristic.
