摘要
In the last few years, due to the advancement in the technology the electricity distribution network is changed from conventional grid to smart grid, which provides a two way communication between user and supplier. The smart grid improves the reliability, performance and reducing the cost of the network. In smart grids, smart meters plays an important role which collects the users electricity consumption data, transmit to smart grid and manages the load on the network. Due to transmission of data on wireless network security is a big concern. The Smart meters also have limited memory, battery operated. So, to fulfill this design requirement lightweight cryptography comes in picture. In this paper, survey and comparative analysis is done on lightweight ciphers. Moreover, the security performance analysis of lightweight ciphers is done on the basis of correlation factor, avalanche effect, and execution time.
