Study on the Status Quo and Countermeasures for Physical Education and Management of Universities In China

As a Cultural phenomenon, sports & physical education reflect and often reproduce the Values, norms and standards of society or Culture. The purpose of this paper was to find out the defect presently existed, to explore Countermeasures for Physical Education in Chinese Universities. In this Study, the methods of reviewing of literature and documents, and interviewing experts are used to understand the problem confronting P.E. and to explore some countermeasures as to gym Construction and management, teaching reform, teachers' improvement and extracurricular activities in order to guarantee the teaching quality of PE. This paper discusses the problem confronting P.E. since the enrollment expansion at college using documentation. Some Countermeasures are given from gym construction and management, teaching reform, teachers' improvement and extracurricular activities in order to guarantee the teaching quality Of PE. The continuous student recruitment expansion has overloaded the basic facility of physical education in Most Of the universities. A new model of PE teaching and management is required in Chinese universities.
