"C" of BRICS: China's Role in Global Governance

In the context of global financial crisis, European debt crisis and emerging economies' rising, the distribution of global power has been changing dramatically. Emerging actors attempt to pursue common economic interests and political appeals together, BRICS grouping belongs to one of the effective cooperation modes among emerging countries and has made remarkable progress. China positively participates into the process of global governance as a developing country and a member of BRICS, not only reduces the vigilance by holding major countries and neighbors, but also expects to obtain more national interests than individual behavior. China seeks to cooperate with other emerging countries, especially relies on the platform of BRICS, reforms unreasonable parts of international institutions, rather than overthrowing existing international order. China looks forward to playing significant role in the process of global governance through incremental governance, smart participation and strengthening discourse power.
