摘要
The extensive applications of CAD, CMMs and CNC need the new tolerance specifications. In the last decade, some work has been done in the area of tolerance theory. In this paper, a comprehensive summary of the state of the art and the projection of future trends in tolerance theory are presented to aid in guiding research for the future. This paper systematically reviews the state of the art by classifying more than 20 papers written so far into three tolerance theories. They are offset tolerancing zone, feasibility space method and virtual boundary requirements.
