Indium oxide (In2O3) nanoparticles was synthesized successfully via sol gel method at low temperature. The characterization of indium oxide has been done by different techniques. The structural and optical properties of In2O3 were studied using XRD diffractometer and UV-visible spectroscopy. It showed the absorbance spectra of In2O3 and measured the optical band gap. Photoluminescence (PL) spectra exhibited three peaks in the visible region. The FT-IR spectra confirmed the In-O stretching bands at 468, 456, 452, and 461 cm(-1) for the respective In2O3 nanoparticles.
