Twenty-six accessions of wild and cultivated Fragaria spp., from the Strawberry Germplasm Collection IFAPA Centre Malaga were tested for resistance to C. acutatum, the pathogen that caused anthracnose disease. Cultivar 'Camarosa' was susceptible to anthracnose, whereas 'Medina' could be considered moderately susceptible. Susceptibility of four wild species was similar to 'Camarosa'. F. mosachata and F. virginiana species were more resistant to anthracnose crown rot than 'Camarosa'.
