Acoustic spectroscopy studies of magnetic colloids: II. Determination of the physicochemical properties of a magnetic fluid

摘要
A method was proposed for determining physicochemical parameters of magnetic fluids. This method was applied to treat two series of experiments carried out with the same sample of a magnetic fluid based on dodecane with an interval of 20 months between them. Volume concentrations of components (dodecane, magnetite, and oleic acid) of the studied magnetic fluid, the volume concentration and the effective density of aggregates, and other properties of a magnetic fluid were determined. Main parameters characterizing the particle size distribution for the dispersed phase of a magnetic fluid were calculated. Variations in the properties of a magnetic fluid were analyzed as a function of temperature and time.
