Large Amplitude Dust Acoustic Solitary Waves with Non-Thermal Distribution for Both Electrons and Ions

摘要
The propagation of large amplitude dust acoustic solitary waves (DASWs) in an unmagnetized dusty plasma was investigated. The plasma consists of non-thermal distributed electrons, negatively charged dust grains, and ions with non-thermal distribution. In this study, the Sagdeev pseudopotential approach (which is valid for large amplitude solitary waves) was used. It is observed that both non-thermal electron parameter and non-thermal ion parameter significantly modify the basic properties (such as amplitude, polarity) of DASWs. It was found that when both non-thermal electron and ion parameter increase, the critical Mach number increases. Such variation is more effective at the value of the non-thermal ion parameter in comparison with non-thermal electron. The calculations show that in such conditions the formation of both compressive and rarefactive solitons are feasible. Besides, we have found that an increase in Mach number leads to an increase in the magnitude of DASW amplitude. Finally, for certain plasma parameters, creation of double layer is expected in such dusty plasma.
