Preparticipation sports evaluation: An overview

Nurse practitioners are being increasingly called upon to perform or be a part of the process that provides preparticipation physical examinations (PPE). The PPE goals are to enhance and maintain the health and safety of students participating in high-risk activities (organized athletics).
