摘要
Nanoscale biosensors have significant advantage over larger devices. The new technology demonstrates multiplexing of the nanowires for the detection of cancer molecules, performing analyses in serum, where there is a ten-million-fold excess of other proteins relative to the analyte of interest, and detecting the activity of the ribonucleoprotein tolemerase. The multiplexing helps diagnosing reliable disease that requires the identification of the levels of a number of molecular markers. The nanoscale sensing surfaces, over which a sample containing the analyte is flowed, solves problems of nonspecific binding and obtaining reversible biorecognition events.
