摘要：
This review summarizes the most important data relating to the chemical and biological aspects of the problem of atherosclerosis - one of the most severe cardiovascular diseases, which currently leads to significant numbers of lethal outcomes. The causes of this chronic disease and its main therapeutic and biochemical parameters are discussed. Methods for the treatment of atherosclerosis are considered, along with an assessment of the drugs used, including the most convenient syntheses of these drugs.
