摘要
This work aims at developing an original numerical model to predict residual stresses induced by a grooving operation. This model is inspired by the hybrid approach consisting in modeling the thermomechanical loadings applied on machined surfaces. The paper will start to present the experimental investigations which have enabled to define the shape and intensity of the thermomechanical loadings during a tool plunging operation. The second part of this paper relates to the modeling strategy. Finally experimental residual stress profiles have been made by means of the X-Ray diffraction on 15-5PH samples and compared with numerical results. (C) 2019 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.
