Improvement of physical properties of radiation vulcanized natural rubber latex film

摘要
The effects of heating and leaching on the physical properties of radiation vulcanized natural rubber latex (RVNRL) film were investigated. For studying the effect of heat die films were heated at different temperatures (25-100 degrees C) for different lengths of time (0-120 minutes), and for leaching experiments three leaching agents, (1) distilled water, (2) 1% ammonia solution and (3) water/ethanol mixtures were used. The tensile properties of die RVNRL film were improved by heating to certain temperature and time period. It was also found that the tensile properties of the film were improved by leaching with all the three leaching agents.
