摘要:
Thanks to the development of information and communications technology (ICT), there have been significant changes in foreign language education in the last twenty years. More recently, the rapid spread of cloud computing and mobile devices offers foreign language teachers even greater opportunities for better teaching in a variety of ways. The object of this study is to demonstrate effective uses of cloud computing and mobile devices to facilitate successful foreign language learning. The latest ICT makes it possible for teachers to help their students learn a foreign language in a more collaborative and flexible environment. Quantitative and qualitative analyses of the use of these ICTs showed that students tend to study longer and more frequently than when they did not use these technologies. We argue that the latest ICT will be one of the key elements to overcome long-standing environmental constrains in Japanese foreign language education.
